Can I be reimbursed for sales tax?

Yes, sales tax works on an all-or-nothing basis. Here's what this means for you:

  • If you submit a full receipt for reimbursement, you can include the taxes.
  • If you request reimbursement for individual line items from a receipt, you cannot split the taxes.

    • This means that if you have a receipt with both eligible and ineligible expenses, sales tax cannot be split. We recommend purchasing all eligible items in a separate transaction.

You must choose one approach per receipt. Submit the full receipt with taxes, or submit specific line items without taxes.
