UFA Handbook Watch

What changed in Odyssey's Utah Fits All handbook, and when.

Not official

This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Utah Fits All (UFA), Odyssey, or the Utah State Board of Education.

Nobody here speaks for the programme. The authoritative handbook is the one Odyssey publishes at support.withodyssey.com. If this site and that one disagree, that one is right. Check there before acting on anything you read here.

What this is

Odyssey rewrites Utah Fits All policy in place. An article about acceptable receipt documentation changes, families find out when a reimbursement is denied, and there is no record of what the rule said last month. This site keeps that record.

How it works

Every hour it reads the handbook straight from Zendesk's public API, which is where support.withodyssey.com gets its own pages. It hashes the readable text of each article and compares it with the last version it stored. When the text moves, it saves both versions, works out the word-level difference and writes a dated entry.

Zendesk also reports when an article was last touched without its text changing: repositioned, relabelled, moved between sections. Those are recorded separately and hidden by default, because a moved article is not a changed rule.

The one-line summary on each entry is written by a language model that is shown only the added and removed text, never the whole article. It can be wrong. The diff underneath it is the record; the sentence is a convenience.

What it watches

137 articles tracked, 137 changes recorded.

Follow it

There is no mailing list. Subscribe to the RSS feed or the JSON feed in any reader and new changes arrive there. Backfilled history is left out of the feeds, so subscribing does not deliver a hundred old entries.

Published so that a broken watcher looks broken, rather than looking like a handbook that has not changed.
